Make “Status Update” as default News Feed on iPhone Facebook 3.0 app

I prefer the “Status Update” as the default feed when I open up facebook. From within the app, you won’t be able to set it as default and I don’t see any options to set it. You need to open facebook.com from your desktop/laptop and on the left side, you will have a list similar as shown below.

Next, click “More” at the bottom and you can rearrange the list as you like, where as the top of the list will be your default “News Feed” in facebook 3.0 app on iphone (for this purpose, I had moved the “Status Update” to the top).

Thanks for the tip. Worked great. I did have to log out and back into my Facebook app on the iPod Touch in order to get it to take. It now defaults to Status Update. However the shortcut icon on the launch page still reads NewsFeed. Hopefully FB will update the app to allow you to add shortcuts to each category right from the launch page.

I tried this and I still get Live Feed every time I open facebook on my iPhone. Is there another way to default status update as my news feed? Thanks!!!!

it’s been a while since I use the facebook app, but i think facebook change certain things and affects it. I just tried it and it is just like you said, sadly we just have to wait for facebook to fix it. Thanks.
