During the last few days, I’ve been using two twitter clients on iphone, tweetie and twitterfon. I’m surprised that twitterfon, being the free app, received more updates to include new features so often compare to tweetie.
The new features to OS 3.0 are in-app email, in app maps (to view user location), in-app youtube playback, URL options (open link, email link, copy link, send it to read it later).
Though I still won’t buy twitterfon pro, mainly because of the listing price of $5 and I’ve already purchased tweetie in the first place (to support multi-users), if not, I definitely will purchase it, considering the updates and features included.
One strange thing in the App Store reviews on twitterfon pro is some people having problem viewing followers/following and block/unblock features. All you have to you is go to @Mentions tab, there’s a shortcut ‘My Profile’.

A year has past and watching him grow is always my happiest moment. On the 17th, we celebrated his 1st birthday, excited to get his cake (though last minute, there’s a change of plan) and presents (lots of presents).
Here’s the cake,

He’s always happy when there’s new stuff (kids, right?), he’s busy poking the cake himself
It’s always fun to search for new things available in OS upgrades, and Apple does include a lot of features (even some are available on other phones for years) but it still excites me.
One of the new features that I notice the difference is the App Store on the iphone (luckily I took the screenshots then). I found that you can configure the App Store tabs and redeem a gift card (if available)
After I plug it to itunes, it just reverts back to the original App Store display, strange, huh? Anyone knows why? I can’t seem to find the option in Settings or anywhere else to get these back (though it is still possible to view account details within the app).
It’s been a while that I’m looking for panorama app to (maybe) create a panorama picture out of iphone’s camera. There is already quite a few at the App Store but doesn’t really get a good review, until a few days ago I saw TUAWmade a review about this app, autostitch.
After reading about it and look at the developer website, it’s quite convincing on the results, so last night I decided to buy the app.
I tried it this morning, the image is contructed using 7 separate images taken from the iphone camera app (strange thay you can’t just start the camera from inside the app, maybe you can select which is suitable for the process), in the app you just select the images from the camera roll to be stitched.
Here’s the result of the stitch:
This after being cropped in photogene app:
Overall, I’m satisfied with the result.
Got the screenshot from a friend and it’s nice that the MMS settings is already filled in for you if you update the network profile from iTunes.
I just realised that the field for “MMS Max Message Size” is in byte format, so from the picture, it is by default at 300Kb, I’ve tried putting 51200 in it and I’ve successfully sent MMS with 30Kb in size (great, as I mention in my previous post, sending MMS of 193Kb as a result of leaving it empty)
